Only if you take back all the cum you sucked from him after the oswalt, pence and lee deals
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

They don't...in fact I wouldn't be surprised if they were so desperate to get under it this year because they plan on going over it sometime in the next two years

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

SD

4 of the Astros top 6 prospects are former Phillies minor leaguers. Anyone laughing at Wade now? Meanwhile Ruben traded Lee with a year left on his deal for a tall canuck/some deaf cokehead who's done for the year/career minor leaguer.

Maybe they should put Wade back in charge.

for some reason smug has been coddled and groomed by this organization for the last 40 years....from bat boy to gm its become the worst case of nepotism ever recorded

Great looks like they're getting Schierholtz too. He's barely a major leaguer.

The Phillies are coming off the $3MM demands, tweets Connolly, and Blanton to the Orioles is picking up steam again

I'm assuming the Pence deal gives them flexibility under the luxury tax meaning they can eat Blanton's salary and get a prospect like Schoop back. We'll see, I have no confidence in RAJ other than signing players over their market value and buying high and selling low.

SD

Supposedly the full trade will be Pence for Joseph, Sherholtz, and Seth Rosin who is a 6'6 250 23 year old middle relief pitcher in A ball.

Holy crap this is worse than the Lee to Seattle trade.

SunMo

it's a salary dump, what about this aren't you guys getting?

Sherholtz isn't horrible, he's a controllable corner outfielder.  Joseph will make or break the deal.  they wanted to get under the luxury tax this year and they did it.

season is shot anyway, who farging cares?

btw...

Sherholtz .755 OPS (1.5M)

Pence .785 OPS (15M)

Oh I get it's a salary dump, but when you give up Singleton/Cosart and Santana who would be the Phillies 3 top prospects and only get a AA catcher, a scrub RFer, and a career minor leaguer than the GM needs to be held accountable. It's the same thing with the Lee trade, they gave up more to get him then they did to ship him elsewhere. RAJ made a huge mistake on what Pence is worth.

Wade is a better GM than RAJ is.

i couple of the national writers commented in the past month how perception of Pence's value really dropped from last year's trade deadline.  no doubt the trade RAJ made was pathetic, but he did have more value around the league.

RAJ is not a good GM and he's going to try and build a team around 5 players making $110M next year.  Good luck bro.
