if you can get his hideous contract off the books, and essentially replace hamels with it, youll have some money to spend next offseason. of course, they have no AAA players they can bring up after the impending fire sale because roob gutted the farm system, but whatever.

then you can maybe put something together next year, if not, you can always deal halladay and utley at the 2013 deadline and they can be ready to go in 2014.

Few thoughts after attending today's game.

1.  Miami is a hole once you leave the beach.
2.  That home run spectacular looks even worse in person.  Gaudy as hell.
3.  Somehow the park felt small (maybe because of the roof) but also felt like it was far away from the action.  You could see the skyline of Miami through the windows in left field.  Didn't think that the park was anything special architecturally.  Never had to wait in line for food, drink or bathrooms.  Still lots of empty seats.  Overall it was... OK.  Not nearly as attractive as CBP.
4.  If MichaelCarlo Stanton could bat against the Phils in every game, he'd be a hall-of-famer.
5.  Hunter Pence is an idiot.
6.  Whoever had Hamels running is an idiot.
7.  Shane Victorino is a farging idiot.
8.  Chooch is the Phils' best player right now.
9.  Ty Wiggy-ton is one ugly motherfarger.
10.  Fire sale should begin soon.  This team is cooked.

Thanks for the update on Marlins Park.  I was always curious on the feel of that place.  I just realized during Friday's game that it only seats 37K.  Those field level seats in the outfield look pretty cool.
