what a retarded sequence by manuel

mayberry sucks against rhp and hes gone on 3 pitches
then he uses thome up so he can get intentionally walked

just monumental stupidity by a retarded pos manager
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

How about this...all Mayberry has to do is hit a farging flyball? Regardless of his splits - just get the job done

MDS

here comes J to defend his grandpa

how about you squeeze or something. how about you pinch hit fontenot for the pitcher, then use thome for martinez? how about that.

and then he uses pierre to run for thome which is beyond retarded, and keeps farging martinez at the plate who had a 0% of doing anything.

farg this team

of course, and they are

but mayberry sucks against rhp and everyone knows it. so you can squeeze there, god forbid, and tie the game. or you pinch hit thome for him.

hes unbelievably good at putting players in positions that they arent going to succeed in.

lol drama queen

price was out dueled by hamels and got the win because basticho gave up a 3 run homer. they both went 7, but the guy who gave up the run is going to get the win. explain that to me.

if he sucks hes gets the loss...but he didnt...he pitched great and got a well deserved win...which is exactly what you want your starter to do

in seamhead world tho losses dont matter.....it doesnt matter if you pitch terribly and lose the game...its the same as pitching great and winning

difference is ERA/WHIP etc are >>>>>> above wins when evaluating a pitcher.  They'll give you a snapshot most of the time, but if you ask me who to sign for next year, I take a pitcher who was 12-12 on a shtein team who had a 2.5 ERA and 1.1 WHIP over a pitcher who was 19-8 on a great team with a 3.6 ERA and 1.3 WHIP.

I don't care if people look at wins, but any time you're assessing an individual, normally stats which are within that individuals control (like home runs, as you keep citing) are more indicative of success than wins, which rely on so many other things.

Remember in little league when your coach would say "stop trying to kill the ball and just try to make contact". Well someone needs to tell that to Pence.

MDS

another shining of example of why they are such a worthless team

please trade everyone now

which pitcher in my example would you sign, if they were the same age etc.  if you go with the 19-8 3.6ERA/1.3WHIP player over the 12-12 2.5ERA, 1.1WHIP player, it's just a different way of looking at stats, which is fine, but i don't agree.

ice grillin you

id have to look into how the losses happened...but in general of course ill take the pitcher with the better stuff...no one has ever argued that

but the lil guy and seamheads like him literally say that wins do not matter at ALL for SP....

thats all ive ever argued against...ive never said they are the most important stat ever much less more important than any other stat...all ive said is that they matter
