he was a great player when he was here

He was a good player, he was never great. He got more useless extra base hits than any player in major league history. Any coincedence they started winning as soon as he was traded?

MDS

lol i love the unproven illogical abreu hatred. it doesnt go away, never ever.

yea they started getting better because abreu left, not because hamels, utley and howard were in their primes. who needs a .400 obp clogging up the basepaths.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

It's a shame that you make some reasonable arguments, because the unimportant and ridiculous ones really get all the attention.

Like this one. Who gives a farg about Abreu? His stats helped the Phillies almost as much as a pitcher's win total.

MDS

they could have had babe ruth circa 1927 instead of abreu and still wouldnt have won anything

their ace in those days was jon lieber or kevin millwood. why people forget that but remember abreu supposedly not being "clutch" i guess is just one of those things. oh wait. WIP callers like to pick on lazy mexicans and undisciplined negros.

Whatever the circumstances, why should anyone care one way or another about him? Good player, never made a significant impact... Either an overly negative or overly positive reaction would have been stupid.

You make too much sense for him to have one of his retarded opinions. Good god mds your last few posts are pathetic. Even igy would be ashamed.

MDS

burrell had 1 meaningful hit and everyone, both men and women, want to suck his cock

but hes a good looking white man and abreu is a mediocre looking lazy mexican afraid of walls who walks a lot and doesnt hit DINGERS

Abreu was a good player with reasonable production (albeit in the steroid era) but he also had an uncanny ability to come up short when the heat was on.  Saying they started winning because he left seems silly but there's no disputing the fact that the younger guys immediately asserted themselves after he left and ultimately won a championship without him.

And he never had an OBP over .400 after he left Philly despite playing for the Yankees & Angels during most of those seasons.

MDS

lol theres the old clutch thing. no evidence. no proof. just oh yea he NEVER came through in big spots.

i can list off 10 different big games off the top of my head to prove mcnabb was a farging loser. abreu got plenty of big hits and came up short plenty of times, just like every other player. was he a superstar get me to the plate boys guy like choke? no. was he a pussified i dont want it dont put it on me loser like ty wiggerton or mcnabb? no.

what he was was one of the best rf's in phillies history if not the best. but he didnt have werths beard or something and hes lazy bla bla bla

ewww good lord i have so much higher standards for latin american cock

hes just a really good player that got totally shtein on for no reason when he was here, then he comes back and the munsonian crowd didnt know who he was since they started watching games in 2008. it pisses me off that this is the reality of this team: they suck, the fans are the idiots and the ones that go should die in a fire

Don Ho

Spaz, first pitch swing, not surprising.  Spaz, RBI, shocking.

1. Molina, 2. Posey and  3. McCann
