you see real sports this month....they have a story on fan violence thats pretty sick...

The wife and I were watching and we were shocked how long it took to discuss Philly Fans.  We both said.."There it is".  Of course they had the fight at Genos from the winter Classic.
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

Oh man, I hope I get to be the first one to joke about wanting the scabs back when the regular guys screw up. And then I hope someone shoots me in the head for being an insufferable icehole.

The man. The myth. The legend.

probably wont be enough to get the deal done of this weekend

minor hidden fact: the steelers, who have caught every break in the book since 1965, will only have 3 games with the fake refs while everyone else gets 4. some things just are.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Diomedes

Exactly why I liked the point line last night...they're tired, they got a big, emotional win last game, and Cleveland is an underrated defense within the division.  I figured they were solid to keep it close.  I was right.  Now, I will miss the next four picks as penance for getting one right and bragging about it.

QuoteThe Minnesota Vikings punter who penned a controversial letter to a Maryland legislator in defense of same-sex marriage has now challenged another lawmaker to a similarly-themed debate.

Chris Kluwe tells City Pages that he's been in talks with Minnesotans for Equality, a Minnesota-based LGBT rights advocacy group urging voters to beat back the state's ballot initiative that would ban marriage for gays and lesbians in the state constitution, about organizing a debate between him and Minnesota Rep. Mary Franson.

"We're thinking of actually extending her an official invitation to see if she wants to do a debate," Kluwe told the publication. Still, he remained skeptical over whether or not Franson, who has claimed to be "under attack by those who oppose traditional marriage," would accept.

"I don't think she will," he added.

Franson, a Republican, generated headlines after she reportedly declared, "My concerns are that our children in our schools could be taught some liberal agendas because of the marriage amendment. Because in the schools they may be taught...that [same-sex marriage] is normal behavior. I personally do not believe it is."

Last week, Kluwe defended his obscenity-laced letter to Maryland Delegate C. Emmett Burns in an interview with HuffPost Gay Voices Editor-at-Large Michelangelo Signorile, calling same-sex marriage "a human rights issue."
