Also wes welker isn't a game changer.

patriots have not won a playoff game since randy moss left....so im not sure what games wes welker is changing...im sure all those five yard catches are turning the league on its ear tho

The Giants could easily lose to the 7-1 Niners in SF next week and the Eagles should beat the Bears and Zona the next two weeks meaning first place could be on the line in 2 weeks. After that game the Giants have to play New Orleans and GB. Obviously the Eagles have to hold their end of the deal up to make this all possible but the above scenario is very likely.

ice grillin you

im sure it is but the eagles could easily lose to the bears tomorrow and at the meadowlands

i think we are all in agreement that both the eagles and giants can lose to or beat anyone....but when one of those two teams is two or three games ahead of the other then thats the one thats gonna win the division

Ignorance... you mean like your claim that the season is over in week 9??

Wes Welker isn't a game changer and you use their playoff record as indication????  Hilarious.. Your statements are so ludicrous I don't even know why I bother responding.  Look at Welker's numbers and tell me he isn't a game changer.

Also, wasn't last year the Patriots first year without Randy Moss???  Also, did the Patriots win any Super Bowls with Randy Moss??? Nope.  Good try though... Wes Welker sucks.

If the Giants make it to the Dallas game and are still in first place then they deserve a shtein ton of credit because they have one hell of a gauntlet to maneuver.

And I'm not taking the Bears lightly. Don't think they're anything special but they're EXACTLY the kind of team the Eagles struggle with. Plus I know games 20 years ago don't mean shtein but their all time record against the Bears is like 10-30 or something close.

If it's week 16 you'd be right.  Since it week 9, you sound like a douchebag.

totally agreed on past records....i could care less...and also agree this years bears arent special in the least but either are the eagles....last time i looked the eagles were under .500....you listen to teenage morons like hawk and youd think they are 6-1 and wont lose the rest of the year

You acting like the Giants are running away with the division when they beat the overrated Patriots is much more moronic than anything I've ever posted.

Good rebuttal to my Wes Welker commentary though... Players that break records and score 99 yard touchdowns aren't game changers... he's just a quick white guy in the slot!

lol...bernard berrian had a 99 yard touchdown....im sure he was a game changer to

Bernard Berrian doesn't catch 8 balls a game and average 117 yards receiving??? How many Super Bowls did Randy Moss help the Pats win???

Hawk

With the new rules against hitting a defenseless receiver and the heavy fines the NFL has been levying, Welker is definitely a game changer.  But in IGY's world, he's white so he must suck.

ice grillin you

you would be much happier on the other CF

Welker is very good at what he does which is move the chains and make a lot of catches, he doesn't change the dynamic of a defense. You have to game plan for big WRs because they can burn you at any time. Welker's talent is finding a hole in a zone and picking up some yards, defensive coordinators aren't staying up at night trying to figure out how they're going to stop him. They're not rolling coverage his way or leaving a safety over the top because of his big play ability.

I disagree.  The teams that have suceeded against the Patriots are the ones who have pressed the receivers, ala Pittsburg last week and the Jets in the playoffs.   You can't just plug any receiver in the slot and expect him to replicate Welker's numbers.  Last year when Welker went down, people thought that Edelman would just take his place.  Not the case.
