His aggressiveness is really helpful in the playoffs when running the ball, controlling the clock, and keeping your goddamn defense off the field is imperative.    Oh, and his bungling of timeouts and clock management and insistence on employing a ridiculously gimmicky defensive scheme, taking 10 years to get decent receivers, and 14 years (and counting) to get decent linebackers, never drafting adequate replacements for guys he's kicked to the curb... all of these and more should land him a bust in Canton.

So because he isn't as colossally inept as Rich Kotite I'm not supposed to refer to him as a time management bungling buffoon?  Further - am I supposed to be eternally grateful that he's been modestly successful in the regular season and early stages of the playoffs only to collapse when he managed to get to championship rounds?

Said it before and I'll say it again, I was on board for firing Reid after losing to Tampa on Opening Day in 03.  It was bad enough that they closed out the Vet by losing to a team that they had dominated in a few previous regular season and playoff match ups, but for them to allow the Bucs to walk into the new stadium and own that place was the breaking point for me.  It's not that they lost the game or because it was the first game in the Linc, it was simply the fact that Reid had like 5 months to prep for that game and they got bitch smacked.  That was it for me.

Not only that, but the opener was the same exact game plan as the NFCCG, nothing even changed, especially offensively where they were so ineffective. I was at both games and that conference game was for me the single worst moment as a Philadelphia fan, and the Linc opener was just the shteinting on the cake.

I'm pretty sure there was a Na Brown sighting at the Linc opener if I remember correctly. Maybe Lurie's confidence was refreshed after that?

Hard not to agree there...those two games were betrayal. but there I was back hard at the teat during the TO run. then again at the cardinals nfcg. Then it always ends badly, not even competitively, but stunned slackjawed, wreckage of idiocy and ineptness all around. plus having to endure that guy hoyda back then, too.

maybe i shoulda have caught a clue after that 49er game where after bitch-slappin montana like a ragdoll for three quarters the eagles shtein the nest as joe torched them 4 tds ftw
