the defense is sickeningly soft....i dont need a jack tatum back there but where is the guy on that side of the ball who the offense has to identify as a guy to be careful of and maybe dont go to his side cause he will bitch slap you....there isnt one....

eagles have sucked for many decades but the one thing they have is a lineage of tough destructive killa defenders....this current squad is an embarrassment to that legacy

I agree about missing the nastiness.

I hate passive defenses. I understand that offensively the game has shifted away from that but defensively you have to create fear (despite the softbatch NFL rules) and the Eagles have zero badass motherfargers on the team. No one will punch a guy in the mouth. No one one instills any fear on the offenses they face.

yea thats why i said a little bit....theyve done those things, reggie, etc.

but theres still no ring of honor in the stadium, no banner or sign celebrating division titles and 1960 title, etc. not to mention radically changing the color scheme of the team because the owners wife didnt like kelly green.

its sickening because as pathetic as the phillies were this year in terms of celebrating the past, alumni, colors, history, ballpark presentation of that....they are the blue print and it should be easy as hell for the eagles to copy.

As far as the soft defenders go.....when has Reid ever brought in a guy that was nasty. The only players that have has any attitude for the most part were guys left over from the Rhodes era.
