You mean, like Fleury, right? I seem to recall you saying that about him 2 games ago?

You cannot tell me, in that same game, the defense wasn't atrocious. That second period was odd man rush after odd man rush. FAR too many.

so the best thing you can say about breezy is that he was better than fleury?....that pretty much sums him up

get back to me when he is the winning goalie in some low scoring close games....when he can play in those type of games and not be the guy who lets in a bad goal or two plus makes some big saves to win a game then ill give him credit

No, he shouldn't. HOWEVER, it works both ways like I said.

if the defense is playing like absolute DOGshtein in front of him, don't discredit that when he has a bad game and then turn around and say, "the only reason he won was because of the defense" when he stops 30 shots.

why cant you say that when the defense was the reason?

for him to be successful the defense essentially has to play a perfect game and block 40 shots.....but in the playoffs that isnt realistic and there should be some games where your goalie wins the game instead of simply praying that he doesnt lose it

when he stands up and wins a game because of great goaltending ill be the first to say it....but that hasnt happened yet...regardless of how the defense has played

Bryz is a horrible goalie who lets in soft goals

Great goalies steal games and sometimes series. Fluery flat out stole game 5. Sure he sucked the rest of the series but he stole that game. Bryz managed yesterdays game. He's a below average goalie who at best will give the Flyers what Leighton gave them in the 2010 run.

exactly...and its that middle ground game where i want to see him step up and win it......this has not happened yet nor do i see it ever happening on a consistent basis

im not looking for 42 save shutouts...or for him to be a jonathan quick....i just want to have the confidence that in a game like that it wont be breezy who comes up small

He always sucks. He steals a series and I'll change my tune, until then he's managing the game while the D does all the work.

He didn't yesterday.  And surprisingly enough the defense played its best game and he still stopped 30/31.

shame on us for wanting a goalie who can win a cup and not a first round series in which he shtein his pants the whole way thru giving up the most goals in flyer playoff series history
