If a Flyer went head-hunting after Crosby & Malkin on the same shift he would have been suspended for half a season minimum.

The funny thing is the NHL had the perfect opportunity to show they don't tolerate that sort of pathetic thuggery and whiffed.

Fine.  I hope someone ends Crosby's career Lindros style tonight.

I'd almost root for a player like Hartnell or Schenn to concuss Crosby on a clean hit ending his career over winning game 4.

Very similar hit to the Neal/Couturier hit last night at the Coyotes/Blackhawks game. Torres leaves his feet and nails Hossa with his shoulder. And of course there was no call and a ref standing 4 feet away from the play:

the big difference btwn the two though was that neal made contact with cooters chest...torres went right into hossa's domepiece

i wouldnt be surprised to see torres get 10 games

Neal followed that shot up with leaving his feet and going after Giroux's domepiece. So the NHL refs let this hit and the Neal hit go without a penalty. Neal followed that up by doing some more headhunting since the refs took no action. If you want to see something despicable go to a Pens forum and their fans are claiming Giroux, Couturier and Schenn were embelishing their injuries to get a call. It's Foxnews level rationale.

The difference  is Torres can throw a farging hit, Neal is a pansy.  I wanted Neal out there just to have Simmonds finish what he tried to start.
