2011-12 Flyers Season Thread: Now With Less Alcohol!

The Flyers are 17-0 all-time when leading a series 2-0.

I'm hoping this trend continues.

Also - that game last night was beyond awesome.

The Pens are too concerned with taking the body and getting cheap shots in to the point where it's affecting their play. They're so concerned with being physical that they're leaving guys open and being irresponsible defensively.

i dont see that as much as i see them emptying their tanks in the first 25 minutes of the game running all over the ice at people...it has worked beautifully early but after a while it takes everything out of you and you are left with nothing in the second half of the game....where as the flyers weather the storm early and finish strong...its amazing how much faster the flyers have looked in the second half of the first two games and you can see pittsburgh physicality drop substantially

And I know this series is far from over, but I'm going to look ahead a bit. I hope to god one of the Sens/Devils/Caps win beat the Rangers, because I don't think the Flyers have a shot in hell of beating them.

im not thinking about someone beating the rangers altho that would be the ideal scenario...im looking to avoid them as long as possible...and thats setting up pretty nicely for the flyers as all they need is one of florida or the caps to win in the first round to miss new york....and new jersey is going to beat florida

Agreed and for whatever reason I see the Flyers/Rags meeting in the conference finals. I'd rather take my chances there than I would in round 2. I think the Caps have the best chance of beating them although they have to make it past Boston first which is no easy task. The Devils...I give them a sluggers chance. The Devs/Rags are a rivalry so you never know what's going to happen when they meet.

Amazing game last night, both have been crazy, but last night was insane!! Kept all the kids up to watch and they were glued to the screen. IGY, I agree that the flyers just look so much faster the 2nd half of the game. They are out hustling and working these guys. Here's to Bryz getting his head out of his a$$ in the 1st so they can finish this up in Philly!
