Ha! but what happens when that floater he tosses up gets picked?

Same thing that happens when he has both feet planted and throws a tight spiral that gets picked

Pretty sure Billick raved about that play and couldn't believe Vick made it.  That was an awesome play, maybe it does get picked if Vick and Desean weren't in a class by themselves.

Vick is going to make some dumb decisions, but that was just pure athleticism at its finest.

I just don't like to see the floaters like that. Yeah, Billeck was all over the play. Yeah, it was pure athleticism, he's gotten' by on that a lot. When he does it's planting that little seed that says, yeah, I can do that shtein. Then, when he tries it again with guys in his face, it gets picked. Sorry, it was a great play, but not an advised type of throw. Those passes that hang in the air like that aren't normally a good thing. Shore, he put it right on the money, but normally those type of throws are out of control and not were you want them to go. He was falling off to the side when he let it go. Not good for accuracy, but he got away with it, this time.

Got to limit the amount Vick gets hit/sacked/knocked down...extend those totals from Sunday and he'll be around 300 hits for the year. Hello VY.

Ya' know, Aaron Rodgers was at his most dangerous last year when he came outta' the pocket and threw on the run. He did it with more accuracy than any qb I've ever seen. But when he did it, he would step into the throw, and he damn shore wasn't throwing any floaters. I dunno' maybe Vick has turned a corner and is in that class? Time will tell.

shut up with the floater....you have no farging clue what you are talking about...its called a touch pass and it was a farging beautiful one

Yeah, he's taking just about the number of hits as a feature back.  Runs like it too, won't slide.

ice grillin you

not only wont he slide but because hes so athletically gifted he tries to stretch out every single play to make something happen...hes needs to realize that sometimes you just gotta throw it away...especially when the defense is blitzing

Every QB in the league floats one out their off the back foot every now and then and more often than not, they pay for it.  Even Rodgers, Brady or Brees.  It happens.  However, on this particular play it wasn't a floater as much as it was a touch pass.  Other than the defenders directly in front of Vick, I don't think there was anyone between Vick and Jackson who could come in and intercept that ball.  Either Jackson was going to catch it or it was going through the back of the end zone.

But regardless of what you want to call it....floater, touch pass, finesse, whatever, the bottom line is that it put 6 on the board and you don't bitch about putting points on the board.  If Vick makes a habit of it and starts throwing picks, bitch all you want.  But not after a td.  This is almost as bad as Munson complaining about Kolb's arm strength when he hit PIMP in stride 40 yds down field.

a bad pass is a bad pass...doesnt matter whether its a touch pass or a rocket...vick used the pass that was required in that situation and executed it perfectly....there isnt a single tiny thing negative you can say about that throw...jesus christ why is this even a discussion

Because the linebacker play was so superior there's nothing else to bitch about?

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Mike Vick has no arm strength. Take a look at this video and tell me I'm wrong.

That throw was a duck.

His chuck to Fitzgerald in the preseason was sexy as hell though.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
