I don't know. For me, it's not about righteous indignation, it's more of an interesting character study.

For the last few years, it was pretty clear what was going on under the surface through all of the passive/aggressive nonsense. But here's a guy who basically just had to shut up for a little while before people, even in Philly, forgot about (or at least forgave) the end of the career and focused on the decent times-- because that's what most fans tend to do.

But to not be able to stop yourself from saying not only nonsense, but also shtein you clearly shouldn't say even if you think it, is almost pathological. The ego is getting in the way of what he must know makes sense. And the ego that's driven by an irrational care for what people think is the very thing that's going to make people think even more negatively. Pretty nasty cycle.

Do I actually care? Nope. Interesting insight into that particular flawed human nature, though.

lots of eagles fans are very uncomfortable still talking about the bedwetter because they know that they rooted for coddled and loved him way to much and more importantly way to long...so now they just wanna make believe he never existed so that they can be free from the self hatred and shame of having defended him for so many years

these same fans tho will still go on forever about michael irvin being a crackhead or any other of the many early to mid ninties cowboys

I suppose I fall into this category.  NFCCG in Zona was when the wheels started coming off for me.  Back to back losses in Dallas the next year was the breaking point.  And since the McNabb era didn't bring home just 1 Lombardi, I'd just as soon pretend the 1999-2009 seasons never happened.

I do not fall into this category though.  In fact, over time I've done a complete 180 on my opinion of Irvin and those Cowboy teams.  I still hate the team with a passion, but I've got a lot of respect for the guys on that particular team now and the way they played.  Of course, it's much easier to say that now that they aren't busy smoke checking the Eagles in January.

those cowboy teams were about as likable as you can get in sports

but on the bright side the general donovan mcnabb fanclub at this point probably isnt big enough to hold a minyan

go on and look that up. ill wait. you found it? funny, right?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Houston Texans have re-signed free agent S Quintin Demps.

QuoteDefensive tackle Trevor Laws, who spent his previous four NFL seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, became the latest free agent to visit the Rams. Laws, 26, worked out at Rams Park on Thursday

Bucs are talking to Derek Landri

I'd like to see him back here.

PhillyPhreak54

Laws signed with STL.

4yrs 45 tackles 4 sacks 1 INT and 1 FF

Solid 2nd round pick, eh?

And just think they took him BEFORE they took PIMP

I'll never forget the draft day analysis by the Eagles brass "He knows how to use his hands to get rid of defenders". That's so important for a DT to do, not shooting gaps or collapsing a pocket.

second round picks are an embarrasment in the reid era...they struck gold with shady and pimp in back to back years but other than that its been a debacle

I was intrigued by the pick because he had so many tackles at ND. I remember that he had some really high numbers which seemed to suggest he'd play on the other side of the OL and make plays.

i remember thinking he sucked...eagles took him because he was articulate
