Supposedly he is getting 4 million this season, 2 million guaranteed. Doesn't sound like a guy they only plan to have for half a season.

I have no idea how the cap works, but I would rather see them sign Pimp and Vick first.

Can't really complain about this signing. On a WR-starved team, Smith (when healthy) catches for 1000 yards easily. On the Eagles, I guess he only plays when Jackson gets concussed and Maclin is out with his AIDS again.

No way they bring him in unless they know they can still do both.

Yeah, I'm just impatient and want to see those guys locked up. Pimp first and foremost.

I think I am more surprised by this signing than Asomugha.

Both shouldn't be an issue. It just comes down to how much of Vick's salary they want to push forward.
How much of this is a shot over Pimp's bow?
I'm not arguing SSmith is even close to Pimp, but the FO might.

None. This SHOULDN'T affect Pimp in the least. If he can get healthy... it takes snaps away from maybe Avant more than anyone else.
