Holy shtein the Freddie bashing and Freddie commentary is farging gold

Munson

lol forreal.

"I hated being the security blanket! Teams don't pay you for that, they pay you for how many catches and how many yards you get!"

*Voiceover guy* "Mitchell had almost as many nicknames as he did catches"  :-D

Did you catch McDougal sort of rolling his eyes at Freddie when they showed him saying "this is why I play the game?"

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

The Eagles really had no business winning that game. GB had 8 sacks and rushed for over 200 yards. Favre is such a fleshpop. When asked about heaving the ball that got picked by Dawkins in OT he blames it on Donald Driver not being in position. Gutless turd.

The Favre/Unitas commentary was meant to be split off into a new thread so it could be ignored, but it was so awful the server threw it up, and now those wonderful posts are gone forever.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Perfect.  Getting this thing back on track...

I'm sad that my Unitas pun didn't make it :(

They ran this on ESPN around 10 years ago. Incredible piece on Eagles fans. God damn do I miss the vet:

I miss the aura that the Vet had. The mystique. It had that something about it that made it more than just a stadium. What I don't miss is the building itself, which for the last ten or so years of it's existance was a dump. I don't miss going to the can after half time, which usually was when everything was backing up and people were pissing in the sinks.

The Linc is a fantastic stadium, but it will never have 'it', like the Vet did.

I remember going to the Vet with my uncle and sitting in the 700 level, I didn't know what it was at the time, I was just a squirt, but it really helped to fill out my vocabulary. He had season tickets every year and would take me or one of my brothers to each game, despite my mother's protests. He didn't renew the tickets once they left the Vet, and I think may have only actually gone to one or two games at the Linc since. He watches all the games in some dive bar on Oregon Ave.
