trend!
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

What is the story with the constant booing of Cecil's kid and Rickie Weeks by the ARZ crowd?

Fielder was the "captain" of the NL Home Run Derby team.  He picked Weeks instead of the Diamondbacks' Justin Upton.

Maybe Damon and Suzuki?  Can't see much of a chance for the others.

Rodriguez and Vizquel are about 99 years old each.
A-Rod will be there unless something catastrophic happens.
Damon has a good chance (about 350 to go, still hitting well)
Jones is 39 and injured.
Guerrero... 36 and seems to be losing it this year.
Tejada... see Guerrero.
Suzuki - too far to go at age 37 - he would have to rebound and have another stellar 3-4 years.
Abreu - see Guerrero, Tejada
Helton - Injured 2 of last 3 years - also 37 and further to go than Suzuki.
Renteria - Isn't he eligible for social security?
Thome - Already 40.
Kendall - .250 hitter last three seasons.
Ordonez - 37, nearly 900 to go and hitting .217 right now.
Lee - Average has started to slide; basically immobile right now.
Cabrera - Nearly 1000 to go; average sliding.
Rolen - Sidelined by a hangnail every three weeks.

that Yankee fan's taxes (and part of his student loans) will be paid for by Miller and Modell's

Quote"Miller High Life believes you should be rewarded for doing the right thing, not penalized," Miller High Life brand manager Brendan Noonan said in a statement. "We want to recognize Christian Lopez, and in turn everyone like him, for doing the common sense thing and help him continue to live the High Life."

The sporting goods store Modell's also will announce Wednesday afternoon at its Times Square location that five percent of all of its Yankees merchandise sales July 13-19 will be donated to Lopez to help pay the taxes and student loans he's accrued.

Lopez has said he owes $100,000 from his days at St. Lawrence University.

That's unreal. For picking up a ball. Wow. Just wow.

HOF discussion:

Ichiro is a first ballot HOF'er.

So is Thome but mostly because he's probably the only power hitter of his generation who did it fair & square.

Vizquel gets in after a one year wait and so does Pudge.  The rest = probably not (although LARRY Jones probably will because he's one of the Braves 90's dynasty girls).

The rest... no.
