Didn't the Phils have Gio Gonzalez in their farm system at one time?  Was he part of the Halladay trade last year?  Anyway, he went 7 strong and gave up 1 earned with 4K.  Buster Olney was on this morning saying that several scouts/gm's/whatever have likened his stuff to Carlton's.

Traded to the Phils from the White Sox in the Thome deal

Then traded BACK to the Sox for Freddy farging Garcia

Then dealt to the A's for Nick Swisher

How dumb is Miguel Tejada? 

2 out in the top of the 8th and the Giants are down 4.  Dodgers pitcher walked a batter to load the bases and then walked another to push a run in.  So what's Miguel do?  Swings at the first pitch, an ankle high fastball and pops out to end the inning. 

Of all the dumb shtein players do that piss me off, swinging at the first pitch is by far at the top of my list.  Especially when the pitcher is having control issues and walks the previous 2 batters.

Guessing you're talking about Jay.  Of course he's salty.  In Sept last year he didn't give a shtein about the Giants one way or the other.  Now they are probably top 3 on his hate list.

the phillies lost the series because they played like dick. the 3 best players were shtein. halladay was beaten in game 1.
