2011 Philadelphia Phillies Season Thread (choking awful pos team, DIAF)

I just don't want Ludwick.  His slugging is less than .400.  People need to get off his RBI total.  Pass on Ludwick and pass on Cabrera (though I'd rather have him than Ludwick).  If they're going that route, I'll take Willingham please, though I'm really hoping Wade loves the idea of Worley and some AAAAer like Rizzoti.

Victorino - LF
Rollins - SS
Howard - 1B
Utley - 2B
Polanco - 3B
Brown - RF
Ruiz - C

And I think I prefer Beltran over all other options when looking at an OF bat. But not at a huge cost of HOF or Cosart

i will not indulge you. they need bourn less than they need byrd.

when you look all the options for what they need--most notably controlling the player beyond this season--byrd makes a lot of sense. but not at the cost of worley or cosart. hes not worth it for them.

the pence rumors seemed to die down a bit. the kemp rumors i pretty much created out of thin air. its beltran, willingham or ludwick. yuck.

which is why young marlon might be something you can talk yourself into. were talking about an upgrade over raul ibanez here. it shouldnt be hard.

they dont need another left handed bat, first off. bourn is a pretty weak hitter career-wise against lhp.

secondly if you hit him first then you have to hit jimmy second, then flow into uts and howard. say hello to left specialist johnny venters, eric o'mickhead, javier phillies are my bitch lopez and say hello to 4 straight outs.

he just doesnt fit in this order. but yes, he is an upgrade over ibanez so if hes the guy they get ill take it but they can do a lot better.

2. non sports knowing sheep flock to message boards all over the country to post faux rumor and hopefully for the rumor starter his name

3. i get infuriated 24/7 for the three weeks leading up to the trade deadline

4. wash rinse repeat next july

5. DIE

I love rumors, especially around deadline time, they keep things fresh. If none of them come to fruition than so be it.

theres nothing fun talking about players who have zero chance to ever be a phillie or talking about every single player who has ever lived and how he would fit on the phillies...especially when 99% of the guys available would make no difference whatsoever

its completely different from nfl free agency where there is always just a small contingent of players the eagles would ever sign and generally everyone knows who they are

imagine having to listen non stop for weeks about 27 different players the eagles could trade cobb for even though you know 25 of those players have no chance of ever being an eagle
