he said "i spent a great five years with him and learned so much"...trying to play it off like he played for or with him

then he says "i got a chance to spend some time with him today"...translation: i shook his hand and said hi...pete knowing he knows this person but not knowing who it is returns the hello then went and yukked it up with all his ex teammates

Amazing isn't it?

Imagine Wheels trying so hard to fit in in situations like that. Dude wants to be liked so bad.

Offffffffensive explosion tonight, eh?

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

It was a a one in a million hit, which is the only way ben frank is producing in a key spot

But yea, whatever. Its an awful win but a win it is

Some of you are too young to remember this but 1-0 games were pretty common in the dark ages.   Pitchers duels are enjoyable although I'd rather see Carlton-Gibson than the crapwe watched last nite.

I can't wait to see Scott Mathieson get in there and compete.

I didn't see the game, but just looking at the box score I wouldn't call the game a pitcher's duel.  I'd call it 2 offenses putting on a display of ineptitude.  Carlton-Gibson shut down opposing offenses and would do it for 9 innings.  But when Worley and something called Moscoso throw 13 combined innings and give up 3 total hits, it's usually because the offenses are either crappy or having a collective off night.  Not to take anything away from them because they were obviously doing something right.  But at the same time, the 2 of them gave up more combined walks (7) than there were hits for the entire game (6).

im all for a 1-0 pitchers duel...in fact i love them

but last night was the farthest thing possible from that...i was watching the game and had no idea either team was hitless much less both...in fact i made a post in the thread talking about the phillies getting shut out by that loser mosco...and had to edit the post when in the 5th inning mccarthy (puke) said both teams are being no hit...i was WHAT?

coming inn that farging scab for oakland had more walks on the year than strikeouts...thats really hard to do....and last night he did the same...last nights game there were more walks than strikeouts....pitching had nothing to do with the score

it was oakland who is at or near the bottom of the majors in almost every meaningful offensive category and we all know about the phillies ineptitude

id still like an answer as to why oakland had sizemore playing way in like there were less than two outs...i just dont get it
