I was watching the Colbert Report today. And I had to explain the reference to battle of the banjos at the end of the show to my mexican girlfriend and I looked up the scene from Deliverance on youtube. And it got me thinking....where is this guy now?

I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

Nice find MURPheous.

"To add authenticity and humor to the film, the filmmakers found Redden to fit the look of the inbred and mentally retarded banjo boy called for by the book, although Redden himself is neither. "

Have you ever said to yourself "What the hell happened to Jose Canseco's twin brother, Ozzie?"  Yeah, me neither.  Still, he was last seen attempting to fight in a celebrity boxing match.......as his brother.

...and this guy from, 'The good, the bad, and the ugly'. Still a great flick.

Watched it on TNT or AMC...I forget which channel and I didn't realize how funny his character was.

One of my favorites since I was a young buck. Clint Eastwood, hands down the best Cowboy. Sorry J.W.

He went on to play Elrond in The Lord of the Rings, V in V For Vendetta, Megatron in Transformers, and will be playing Red Skull in Captain America.

The man. The myth. The legend.

While he was used for comic relief for much of the movie, I thought the best scene in the whole film was in the church with his brother.  He was by far the best flushed out character in the movie.

The Good the Bad and the Ugly was on AMC yesterday, definitely top 5 in my top 5 list.

My ex was watching some chick flick with Cameron Diaz about 5 years ago and Eli Wallach was in it.

I agree. You grew to like him. Even 'Blondie' took a liking to him. I liked the part where he is talking about family and friends to Blondie as he is trying to recover and then gets water splashed in his face. Another scene I liked was when he's in the bath and kills the other guy. "If you're gonna shoot, shoot! Don't talk"
