its actually a classic nickname....how can you not like matty ice?

and he didnt earn it because of his play in the pros...number one he got the nickname when he was in college and two he didnt get it because of his play he got it because of his demeanor
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

His demeanor sucks, and so does your taste in nicknames.

It makes me cringe when announcers say it like Phreak inferred.

"Matty Ice" sounds good when used sarcastically too. I don't even see it as praise, it's become just a legit nickname.

There aren't many QB nicknames anymore. I hate names like "Superman" for Cam Newton. Not unique enough. I still enjoy "Ron Mexico".

Obviously it's premature to count before camp, but as of now it looks like the Eagles will have 9 starters who are brand new to the team, including 6/11 in the new defensive scheme.

I don't even think they are going to be any good this season, but I haven't been this anxious for football to return in years.
