They really are so dumb. They think of all these ways to drive their bottom line - including now possibly charging fans to watch them practice - but they routinely let this opportunity lie dormant. You know what drove revenue? Those 1960 green jerseys they wore to open the '10 season, and that was because it was the closest we had to the Kellys since they were yanked. The amount of jerseys they'd sell would be ridiculous - in a way, I'm surprised that they are refusing to do this seeing how much $$$ they'd all make. Plus, making the switch would make Howie and team heroes in a way that would only be trumped by bringing a Lombardi to town.

They realized how bad it was when they heard Westbrook muttering to himself "lemme run the ball coach, we have three time outs left," and other bizarre things that made absolutely no sense.

Reading that article made me think of how unfortunate it was with Primeau. It was an era of great captains in the NHL, guys like Yzerman, Stevens and Messier. Primeau seemed he could be on the verge of breaking into that kind of class with another year or two til it all went south.
