Random Eagles Information Still Not Worthy of a New Thread

I'm pretty sure Duce has a bigger future than RB coach.  He hasn't kept this job through different regimes because he's some kind of Eagles legend.  He'll get a shot at something better, and if he's successful, I won't be surprised.  I'm sorry he didn't get the promotion this time, though, because I love the guy.

Whatever.  He's got two Super Bowl rings already, I think he's gonna be fine.

I'm just saying passing someone over for promotion when said person has earned it is bad business practice.  I have no doubt that Groh is qualified but if you have two equal candidates, seniority should be the deciding factor.

Remember when the Eagles interviewed Duce for the HC job to satisfy the Rooney rule.

What a joke of a rule

Duce is now Assistant Head Coach/RB Coach.

It's like when Howie was fired as GM but was given a pay increase and they called it a promotion.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Duce's responsibilities and pay remain exactly the same, but now a small gold star will be printed next to his name in the media guide.

I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,

how do you know they are equal candidates?

groh has been in coaching for nearly 20 years. hes coached in a number of different regimes. maybe he interviewed better and has better ideas than duce. its impossible as someone with zero intel and insight to say they are equal so give it to duce because he was a great eagle.

all i can do in this instance is defer to doug that he picked the better candidate.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

That's actually the first thing I thought of.

Of course it's a bad look.

But how many RB coaches have become OCs and HCs in the NFL?  We all know that QB coaches are the ones that normally get those, but I'd really be curious to know if I'm mistaken.  Is there a history of RB coaches rising past their position?

Duce is young, and he's got great experience already.  He's now coached under three different HCs.  He's gonna get a shot at bigger jobs eventually...but how long do you gotta wait.  If I'm his agent, I'm putting him forward anywhere they're looking..loyalty to the Eagles should be non-existent at this stage.
