For me I just don't see what a nationalistic ceremony has to do with watching some dumb jocks throwing a ball around for a few hours on Sunday. If there's some pregame veterans deal, I get it, but every game? It's just weird propaganda that belongs to a past age, like making schoolkids recite the pledge of allegiance. My old workplace considered adding some daily salute the flag shtein, but even they weren't dumb enough to implement it.
