Rowe is ideal at safety.  Figures these incompetent morons can't spot that even though, you know, he played the position in college.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'm not disagreeing with this but he more than proved last season he can play well at corner. There will be a ton of FA safeties hitting the market. In a wide 9 scheme they're going to need a safety who can play in the box. They should be able to find one at a decent price.

they should rowe the boat to safety

The Eagles are listening to offers for Murray. Tough trade to make happen for both sides, but I hope they can move him. Think the birds would eat $4 million in cap space this season but they'd also save space. They might be able to get a late round pick for him. I was for the signing but it was obviously a bad idea. He had too many snaps the season before, lost a step, the O line was atrocious, he shouldn't be lining up in the pistol, and running him on stretch plays was just idiotic. There's a reason Matthews and Sproles were able to be successful, that's because they didn't have to wait for plays to develop, they could just hit the hole and go.

QB Eagles

Unless Murray hates the Eagles so much that he is willing to renegotiate his contract to make substantially less money for another team, I don't think there's a team in the NFL remotely close to thinking about that trade.

QB Eagles

Lamar Miller is four years younger and will be available at a fraction of the price. There's also a bunch of UFAs like Chris Ivory and Doug Martin who can get a team 1,000 yards for relatively cheap since no one cares about RBs anymore. I mean I guess if Jerry is sentimental about Murray, Murray's willing to renegotiate for about half as much guaranteed money, and the Eagles are eager to get rid of Murray even if it makes the Cowboys better, it could work....

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah I can't see it happening.

I wasn't for the signing. Taking on backs with miles on them for big money is never smart. Hopefully the new system and revamped OL (assuming it is) will help him be productive.

I agree with everybody except SD; I just don't see that trade happening.

Eagaholic

Yeah, I don't know why SD is convinced the Eagles are going to trade him, I think it is pretty unlikely.

In truth I have sexual fantasies about his big black ass

Sal Pal on sportscenter this morning said the Eagles and Bradford were making progress on a new contract. I think it happens and he's re-signed. I have less of a problem with the 2nd they gave up if he's re-signed. I consider him a tier 3 QB, you can win a SB with a tier 3 guy. I'd also like to see what he can do with a good O line and a WR. Seems obvious they'll trade back in the draft, there's not a big difference in talent between 13-20. They can probably pick up the 2nd they lost, then draft a guy like Jack Conklin, he can play Guard this season then flip back out to Tackle once Peters retires.

I'd take the extra 3rd and make an offer to Cleveland for Josh Gordon. He's a legitimate #1 WR and Cleveland probably wants to move on from him. I have no issues with is off the field problems, the NFL really farged the guy over in my eyes.

I agree with pretty much all of that except Bradford being a tier 3 guy. That's putting him in/near the bottom third of the league.  He's still an elite talent, imo.  Still has to put it all together on the field + stay healthy, but he more than has the tools to be a top passer. I'd have him right in the middle of tier 2, myself, but trending upwards after the 2nd half of last season.

Dead on about feeling a little better about losing the 2nd if he's kept. That's something I've harped on a bit. Even though it was Chip's call, it's still the Eagles' investment. The only way I'd not bring him back would be if he was a total flame out last year or if they're somehow able to cut a deal for Aaron Rogers. Personally I'd like to just see the team tag him and see how he does.  As much as he improved last year, he didn't sell me on a long term commitment.  Of course, they could sign him to a 20 year contract for all I care as long as he doesn't have an obscene cap hit and could easily be released after a tear or 2 if he sucks.
