Went to the open practice at the Linc today. Parking was free and you could just walk into the Linc which was nice.

The video boards or whatever they're calling them these days in the endzone are now HD. They're also smaller, like 2/3 the size of the old ones. They look a lot better. Was on my cell and noticed I was automatically plugged into their wifi. Not the fastest signal but a huge step from the way it was last season. The pro shops were under construction, or maybe they added new ones.

I had my daughter who had no interest in practice, so I only saw bits and pieces.
- Foles has complete control of the offense. He's the man. You can see the way players react to him. Almost reminds me of Eli. We all thought of him as a goofy farg, then he took command of the offense.
- Jordan Matthews and Jeremy Maclin are head and shoulders above the rest of the receivers. The drop off in talent from them is huge. Maclin doesn't look like he's missed a step. I expect a typical Maclin season maybe better since he's the #1 option. Matthews is as advertised. If given the chance I think he can be like Keenan Allen was to the Chargers last season. They worked him a lot in the slot...he looked great. I thought he'd get more work on the outside with Cooper being out but no such luck.
- Sproles looks like Sproles. He's tiny and quick and his legs still move a million miles an hour. You get the feeling there's a part of the offense that's specifically tailored to his abilities. He could be a game changer. My one concern with him is that he'll wear down as the season goes on. If Mccoy goes down I would hope they'd use Polk as the back and keep Sproles in the role they're going to use him in like Shady's still there.
- Watched Huff a lot. Still questioning the pick. He looked good returning kicks. In the receiving game he doesn't beat receivers with his speed, doesn't get off the los good, and just didn't do anything worth noting. Maybe he's one of those guys who can find zones and exploit them but I didn't see anything special.
- Celek looks like he trimmed down. He made a few nice plays, thought he was Ertz a few times.
- Momah is freakin huge and fast and gets open, but he lacks skill. You watch him and think this guys a monster and he just doesn't have good football instincts. Such a damn shame because physically he looks the part.
- You get the feeling this offense is more what Chip had in mind. Last year he used what he had, this year he put his pieces in place.

Didn't get to watch too much of the D. The lineman were in front of us but they were just running blocking drills, not much live hitting.

Sidenote: Saw 3 or 4 Ricky Watters jerseys. Some were old, some looked like they were brand new. First time I've seen that many at an Eagles event since the 90's.

the commemorative tickets i got don't even have my real seat location on them....its a joke

I have a question tho inside the package they list under special discounts and offers to season tickets holders that we get free access to nfl game rewind and nfl red zone....do you know how one goes about getting this?
