Fanatic will have a ton of Juan sound bites coming up.  Apparently Vai spoke to him right after the back tires of the bus ran him over.

Please, please tell me Bowles has some balls and tells Captain Carl to take the wide 9 and go farg himself.  Please.

starting to feel like the ray rhodes end of days. waiting for the "for who, for what" moment, but maybe that was namandi's/assantes tweet(s)

i think reid and lurie might even already have a loose deal in place to end it (done not long after lehigh) with reid agreeing to stick around to end of season, firing as he goes if/when/as the wheels come off allowing lurie and rosy cover and pre-time to secure next coach(es) while andy maybe takes a year off and/or feathers a nest out west

what this does more than anything else other than improve the defense is it puts vick on the clock....hes next if he doesnt get better

Reid's endorsement of Vick used nearly the same words as his endorsement of Castillo after the game. Kiss of death.

Rome

Did he mention the fireman or the other farging castoffs on the o-line because that's the real problem.  Vick would do stupid shtein if he had the 70's Steelers blocking for him but at least they'd be able to give him more than two seconds to run for his life.

ouch. did he just call andy out?

"Lurie said he felt bad for Castillo. ``He preceded Andy,'' he said. ``I've known his family since they were little kids. He's done nothing but work really hard. Maybe he was put in an unfortunate position too early. That's what I would say. That's not Juan's fault that he was put in that position too early.''

It isn't his fault that he begged for the job. This is a thing that people keep saying as if it made total sense.

it makes total sense in that no one should feel sorry for juan...the poor juan stuff is ridiculous...but it doesnt excuse reid at all...two different things....in fact i believe i posted on this board at the time that it was a fireable offense for reid

and instructive that lurie is disengaging. divorce at home and now, under very likely conditions, at the gig. when people blow up their lives, they tend to go whole hog. i dont think the litmus is 8/8 or even 9/7. miss the nfccg and thats it. andy will fall on is sword invoking family, etc. but this boards wish just got much closer today

$20mm under cap and we get this dreck two years in a row. hes cooked.

I'm actually surprised by the poor Juan sentiment and the backlash against Andy.

I'm glad he dumped him. Castillo was a fabulous OL coach and it probably a great guy. He lobbied for the job and sold Andy in it. Andy bears responsibility for buying into it and hiring him but Juan also must take heat for not performing and being overwhelmed.

Andy righted a wrong - granted a wrong he created - but he pulled the plug. Years ago he would have turned a blind eye to it and continued to prop Juan up.
