QuoteAlex Henery has the second-highest career field goal percentage in NFL history among kickers who've attempted 25 or more field goals. Seriously.

woot?

Nice though if he had the leg to kick em from 50. Maybe he can get Akers weight training program.

iirc I think he is within striking distance of a consecutive fg record as well. Too bad he couldn't have begun it before rather than after the SF game.

Um did you see his 51 yarder against Dallas? Drilled that ball it would have been good from 65

Yes, as a matter of fact I did (though I don't remember it looking like it would have been good from 65). I also saw a journeyman placekicker with the Bucs who had never hit a FG over 50 yards in his career beat the Eagles as time ran out with the 3rd longest FG in NFL history while a stiff breeze kicked up. And I've seen Henery kick his way to the be the 23rd worst in kick off yards average and the 27th worst touchback percent in the league, which isn't a particularly ringing endorsement of elite leg strength.

Munson

He nailed that 51 yarder....definitely had excellent length on that.

I've given up paying attention to the touchbacks this year because guys have been taking kicks out from 5-8 yards deep all year, like idiots. Seems like every time they did, they were getting tackled before they reached the 20....is this something where the special teams coaches are telling them to do it just to boycott the new rule, or are all the returners really that stupid?

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Diomedes

I've noticed just the opposite: A lot of returns from deep in the endzone that break the twenty.

Depends. Were you actually in the stands watching them run it out, or just on tv?

The Eagles coverage teams have generally been pretty good this year. I'm not going to look up any stats, but they haven't been awful.

That said their kick and punt return games have been mediocre.

How in the hell this FO chose Brandon Graham over Jason Pierre-Paul is beyond me.  Every time I see that freak Pierre-Paul line up I want to scream.

Don't give a shtein: Dunlap, Parker.
Tender at some level or another: Dixon.

Still hard to believe an Andy coached team had the #2 leading RB and #1 RB for TDs in the league.

Reid will probably look at this season and come to the conclusion that running the ball was what kept them out of the playoffs.
