thats true but he looked fine in all those videos from mini camp....certainly more than good enough to not go on the pup

and if you want to take him slow dont let him do a lot in practice to get hurt....but at least he can go on the field and do something....and i mean honestly if he re injures the knee in practice hes probably not playing before week 6 anyway if at all

im just curious if he tweaked it or had even a small set back

They probably just don't see a lot of use in him getting reps before he's close to 100%. At least not enough to preemptively restrict their options at the beginning of the season.

So now they can't PUP him if they need to?

I'm confused.

Why else would Jesus hang around with 13 other men in his 30s?

The man. The myth. The legend.

QuoteThe Philadelphia Eagles announced some roster moves prior to the start of their first training camp practice on Thursday, July 26.

The following three players have been placed on the active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list: Alshon Jeffery, Brandon Graham, and Chris Maragos. All three players are obviously coming off injuries that occured during the 2017 season.

Being on the PUP list means these players will not be able to practice until the team deems them healthy enough to do so. Note the Eagles can take them off the PUP list at any time. However, the players will no longer be eligible for the reserve/PUP list (which begins once the regular season starts) once they practice. Keeping a player on reserve/PUP means they'll have to miss the first six games of the regular season. Obviously that's not ideal, but it's an option the Eagles are keeping open just in case. Jeffery, Graham, and Maragos still count against the Eagles' 90-man roster for now. They would not count towards the roster if they end up on reserve/PUP.

Two more Eagles players have been placed on a list that is similar to the PUP list: the non-football injury (NFI) list. Those players are Timmy Jernigan and Bryce Treggs. These players did NOT suffer injuries outside of the 2017 football season. Jernigan was expected to be placed on this list but the inclusion of Treggs is a surprise considering he was a full participant in spring drills. As with the active/PUP players, the NFI players still count against the Eagles' 90-man roster.

The hope is that these players will return sooner than later. There's optimism on that front when it comes to guys like Jeffery and Graham. They're aiming for Week 1 returns. Jernigan isn't expected back as quickly.

QuoteDoug Pederson said he has no idea where the report came from that Carson Wentz was going to go on the PUP list, "and that's the God's honest truth."

kempski:

1. There was an erroneous report that Carson Wentz would start the season on the PUP list. He not only practiced, but he also got in for a handful of reps in 11-on-11's, which is something he had not done during spring practices.

2. Jason Peters also participated in 11-on-11's, something he had not done during the spring, and looked like the Jason Peters of old in terms of quickness and agility.

3. Darren Sproles looked like the same player he has always been during his Eagles tenure in the opportunities he got to run with the football today.

4. Haloti Ngata participated in 11-on-11's. He did not practice at all during spring practices. I can't really say how he looked because I've never seen him practice, and therefore cannot make any comparisons.

guess I'll put this here

the new E60 is fabulous

first half is a mike trout profile that is so good and has a small section about his eagle fandom...he brought 11 people from Millville to the super bowl including his barber

the second half is on the Kelce brothers

New hitting rules are so confusing the players don't understand them. Even the refs aren't sure whether Jenkins' hit on Brandin Cooks is legal.

I read a blurb on PFT about a rookie linebacker who wants his team to guarantee he won't be punished by them if he's flagged by the refs for tackling.  No one knows how it will be enforced, how the game will be played.

They've cocked it all up as usual.

Outlawing all contact would solve the problem.   The defense can just run around yelling, "boo!" every time a play starts.
