crab fries are overrated garbage no matter where you get them

They're a great drunk food. I couldn't stomach them sober because they're too salty but drunk I'll house those motherfargers.

they are just so fraudulent being called crab fries...they are farging average French fries with god damn old bay in them...literally every single restaurant in md and many other places in the country has had them since old bay was invented a million years ago but they are properly called seasoned fries...calling them crab fries is a disgrace

I don't mind C&P branding them "crab fries". Like you said they're all over the country, if I told you I was eating "seasoned fries" you'd have no idea the seasoning or where I ordered them from. I say "crab fries" and everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about.

and anywhere outside of chuckle and petes if you order crab fries your are getting....wait for it....crab on your fries

just like when you order gravy fries you don't get fries with salt and pepper on them

worse than the false advertising tho is how they act like they invented them or it's sonething special...they aren't even particularly good seasoned fries

In coastal areas, seasoned fries may very well be covered with Old Bay seasoning, but to the rest of the world seasoned fries are covered with seasoning salt.

My buddy's wife works at a bar in NE Philly. She doesn't charge us for drinks. I love bar food. They have loaded crab tots which is tater tots with crab seasoning, fresh crab meat, green onions, and cheese sauce. They're pretty amazing

No, Old Bay is Old Bay.  Seasoning salt...like McCormick's or Lawry's....is different.

no they aren't old bay just has a cool name...all seasoning salts have the same basic ingredients and might vary with one or two things

the difference is two things...one old bay is always on seafood so people get tricked into thinking it's something totally different cause they associate the taste only with seafood...also because old bay goes on shellfish you can put 100 times more on it and it doesn't ruin the food but because there's so much on it you taste it a lot more and it becomes part of the dish rather than just a flavor enhancer

but sprinkle a little old bay on a chicken breast and then a little lowrys or mckormicks on another breast and you won't tell the difference
