Adam Schefter traded in his BlackBerry for an iPhone today. If it's good enough for him, it's gotta be good enough for anyone.

I was standing next to him at Eagles camp a few years ago, he was on a call then placed it down to talk with Banner. I thought about snatching it but ultmately decided against it.

His contacts list would be something of legend.

So yeah the iphone is pretty cool...what are some good apps to download. Most of what I've downloaded is stuff for my daughter. Also, I have my plan through sprint but because my plan is so cheap they won't let me insure my phone, what does everyone use to insure their iphone?

I don't have a ton of apps on mine...just the basic sports, news, banking/CC, weather, DirecTV, Sirius and social networking shtein. Mine is through work so they foot the bill and its insured through AT&T.

Welcome to the dark side. Speaking of which, you should probably get the light saber app.

As for insurance, I've heard of people adding their phones to their renters and/or car insurance policies.

That's a great idea regarding insurance

Phone insurance and protection plans are rackets.

Agreed. Usually the deductible is silly on top of the monthly payment.

get squaretrade for insurance.  if i recall you can't insure an iphone through the phone providers because apple itself doesn't provide it.

squaretrade is a one time payment for i think two years of insurance
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

When I upgraded to the new iPhone, I lost my unlimited data plan and went with their 2GB for $30/month.  Even though I don't think I'll come close to using that much data in a month, I still want to check randomly throughout the month to make sure that I'm not going to go over.  I think I found it but just want to make sure:

Settings/General/Cellular Usage

The sum of Data Sent and Data Received is my total usage, right?  Do I have to manually reset it each month or does it automatically reset for me?

Also, I'm guessing that any type of push notification I receive eats into my data allowance.  So email, facebook notifications, score updates, etc are all running up my data usage, right?
