DH

Never in a milion years would I have recognized him in a bar..

The Mach Mans death is the start of the May 21st apocalypse. I'm a believer now.

Also, anybody else smile a little bit when reading that Lanny Poffo reported this? Leaping Lanny Poffo. God, was he a flaming fairy in the ring.

DH

wasnt that his dad?

SD

Leaping Lanny was his brother

reese125

Im sure the Ultimate Warrior is to follow next.

DH

I despise wrestling now, but I used to love that shtein when I was a kid..most of the guys I watched are dead now. Is Tatanka still around?

reese125

I dont know--but macho mans death made me type in some other guys back in the day on youtube.

Some friggin funny dudes back then--Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff, Ravishing Rick Rude, George the Animal Steele, the list is endless.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Wrestling is awful now and has been for about 20 years.

But the old school mid-late 80's WWF was the shtein.

I used to love watching the WWF Kids cartoon every Saturday morning.

i was HUGE into wrestling when i was little. i still remember seeing demolition against legion of doom in a steel cage match in Hershey.

anyway, deadspin has been doing a dead wrestler of the week series for like a year and a half now. they're kind of long but they are excellent reading. guy who writes is stays anonymous for some reason but they're a must read of you were into wrestling at some point.
