I have what I call "eclectic" musical taste. I kinds run the gamut from Dean Martin to Green Day. If pushed for my "Desert Island" acts, it would have to be (in order) Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Allman Brothers and ZZ Top. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Buckwheat Zydeco and Ebony Hillbillies. I am not a huge country fan, but I do like most Big and Rich and some Brooks and Dunn. Kid Rock's country sounding music I also like.

was there ever a band that lost it's lead singer and found such an excellent replacement as AC/DC

Bon Scott was great, but Brian Johnson was the perfect replacement.

Great band.

Great band.

Not identical situations, but Pink Floyd and to a lesser extent Van Halen come to mind.

lurking wierdo

Van Halen to a much much lesser extent.

Diomedes

They come to mind sure, but I don't think they actually challenge for the title.    Of the two, the stronger argument could be made for Pink Floyd.  No one outside of St. Louis thinks Sammy Hagar is worth a damn, and they're right:  he's not.

yeah, bon scott is a top 5 rock singer in my book but ac/dc pretty much hit gold with johnson.
