Don't bother arguing with IGY...it was only such a huge big game because they lost. Had they won and anyone here said they made a statement, he would have laughed at you.

It's the first game back from the all star break, no doubt 3/4ths of the team still had a BAC level above .05 when this game started.

I was watching it last night and kept thinking to myself, how in the world have the Bucs won a super bowl and the lightning Lord Stanley and I haven't seen the Eagles or Flyers win it (I don't count the 75 flyers since I was too young to remember)? Oh, and our power play is awful.

i also cant stop thinking about that everytime i see a tampa team...its disgusting

and then last night i got to thinking how tampa has owned the flyers this year...how they are not a good look at all for philly...and how awful its gonna be if they beat the flyers in the playoffs this year and then god forbid win another cup

and what about tampas 3-0 record this year vs the flyers....im assuming their were three all star games this year??

I dont give a shtein, im saying if you really thought the flyers would come out on fire off a break you clearly dont know this team. Richards and Carter woudl be useless because they're still drunk, and probably low on bodily fluids after farging broads in Costa Rica. Giroux and Briere were beat from chasing tail at the games, and Bob is fresh off some russian Hoyda that he had to leave in Canada. shtein happens, they'll get their stuff together.

Drive me to drink, drives you to drink. I farging hate tampa, they dont deserve shtein for cups or superbowls. zesty fans. Either way, its a long season, and i had this one chalked up as a loss.

how teams play in the playoffs in hockey is a million times different than how they play in the regular season. It's why - more so than any other sport - the lower seeds make runs, some teams are just built for the playoffs (see the Flyers last season). Tampa could make some noise, or they could fall flat on their face and be eliminated in the first round. My point is worrying about them now is pointless.

i cant subscribe to that theory because that also means you cant get excited when they win nine in a row or when they beat the penguins because its means nothing until the playoffs

i care about every game no matter what...some more than others and some less but i get into every game...otherwise why watch

You can get excited because:
The Flyers are legitimately good and better than last season
The Flyers came 2 wins from winning the cup last season
The Flyers have guys who step up in the playoffs
Laviolette is a damn good coach
'We' hate the Pens so trouncing them and winning the division is awesome

You should be excited for those reasons. You shouldn't be down on the team because they lost to the Lightning and somehow you think that's going to translate to the playoffs. In reality what we know is the Flyers are better this season than last, and the Lightning will make the playoffs for the first time in 4 years. They could come out and be world beaters, or they could lose in the first round. But worrying about that after a regular season game is pointless.

I'd also like to point out the Phillies beat the Rays. So farg Tampa. He who laughs last, laughs best.
