Bottom line is Reid was schooled by Shannahan. Shannahan new the D would b expecting the pass so he grounded it out. Embarrassing effort early by the D. I'm fine with what I saw from Kolb.

Dig those checkdowns and poor throws, eh?

Not his fault McCoy fumbled and Peters gets flag after flag. His passes were on point. Desean Jackson and Maclin were farging absent but he moved the ball. He had to enter the game from behind, not sure how you could hate on the guy.l

Man, he missed Celek by throwing behind and had Pimp WIDE open and missed him. They were rolling coverage to Jackson. Maclin was wide open a few times, as pointed out by Aikman, and he continuously checked it down.

Aikman was harping on him not getting it down the field.

He would not go beyond his checks. And when he did he was off. They dropped two picks too

Drunkmasterflex

Too many check down passes, that being said he did move the football.

Not blaming the refs for their calls, but they are ruining the NFL this year.  It seems like they destroy the flow of the game.

Kolb sucked, but how many mistakes were there today? Not getting short yardage, holds, delay of game, fumble, etc. Also the refs sure farged us in the ass real good a few times.

Overall terrible performance by everyone on the field. The taterskins sucked, the Eagles sucked, the refs sucked, and Buck sucked.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Christ Kolb is hide your eyes awful.
At least the defense sucks......

Munson

Kolb looked sharp? WTF game were you watching.

He looked sharp on one or two throws. He looked jumpy, inaccurate, indecisive, and scared overall.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

General_Failure

Vick's time off will be pretty interesting. Kolb has an extended tryout until Vick is ready to play again. If he doesn't improve, his career is over. If he plays well, maybe somebody will think about a last minute trade for him, or maybe he goes in the offseason.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Kolb was fine, he moved the ball. Again, if Shady doesn't fumble and they put points on the board there the Eagles have a chance to win. It's reallyl not his fault Reid was absolutely schooled by Shannahan. Shannahan knew Reid would come out defending the pass thinking Donovan would be airing the ball out, instead he grounds it out and Reid (typcial) doesn't adjust. The Skins D wasn't even that good, it's just they knew what Reid was doing. Kolb was fine, the haters keep looking at the end of the game but don't look at his drives when Shady fumbled and Peters was called holding.

PhillyPhanInDC

I suppose the silver lining is that next week we get Kolb who played with the one's all week, and has had the gameplan built around him. Then it's no more excuses if he sucks it up. Fine by me, it was inevitable and in a way I'm glad it's going to take place. It may suck, I'm pretty sure it will, but it's something that has to get done so the team can plan what's next. Get on with it.

That would be McDermott getting schooled by Shanahan.

And he moved the ball because he looked like Trent Edwards out there - checking it down before even looking at his deeper options.

I watched him throw behind Celek, miss jackson and miss Maclin. And listened to Aikman talk about numerous other instances where he failed to get the ball down the field.

As long as we're looking at the "what ifs", might as well look at the two dropped INT's and the missed wide open receivers down the field.

That what if game can be played both ways, and overall he looked below average. As PPDC just said, hopefully having the game plan built around him/his talent makes a difference next week, but he has yet to show any glimmer of hope that he has "it".

I think it's obvious Kolb didn't wow anyone, but it was what you could have expected. The team looked flat coming out, shook up when Vick got hurt, and then Kolb came in cold. With Reid's historically awesome penchant for change his gameplan mid-game, you can see how it was doomed to be lackluster. Get over. Next week the excuses will be removed, and if Kolb sucks it up, so be it. This entire team played like balls today. Kolb wasn't in the top five in terms of who deserved blame for the loss.

I would hope no one blames Kolb for the loss. There were a million other things that went wrong and they played like smelly muddy ass as a team.

But I don't know how anyone can say they liked what they saw from Kolb today. LeSean McCoy had 12 catches....that says a lot about Kolb's decision making/down field vision today.

PoopyfaceMcGee

McNabb sucked and pulled all his old tricks trying to give the game away.  The ridiculous mistake at the end of the 1st half and Kevin Kaptain Checkdown Kolbsy made the Eagles worse than a neutered house pet.

Oh well.  IGY and I got PAID.  Go Phillies.
