I think jay said last week he wasn't sold on shady..agreed.

Yep. And I've gone from not sold to straight up worried.

The OL is atrocious.

i wouldnt be worried about him...he fits the offense nicely...i think he can go for 1000 yards and 50 catches a season for the next five years...he just isnt ever going to be a game changer...like i said hes just another guy...the good thing will be that you wont care if he gets injuured because he will be easy to replace unlike 36

The Eagles have had, what, twenty years of pretty good to great RBs? One that's just okay is a little unusual. Even when they're not using them right, all we've seen for most of forever has been good backs.

hes basically duce staley....a 1000 yard 50 catch type back...hes not wilbert ricky or westbrook but hes as good or better than any other eagle back since 1980 (counting keith byars as a hback not a halfback)
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

The chip shot field goal pissed me off more than anything else about that lousy performance last night.

I mean, why bother?  Is there a critical need to practice extra-point distances in the kicking game or might a circumstance happen during the regular season where you're going to have to go for it on fourth down near the goal line?

farging Reid is a fat douchebag.

Any update on Maclin?

Shoulder contusion, should be fine.

I think he's going to be nicked up all season, he seems like the type of player that won't play through minor injuries. He doesn't have that 'attitude' either like a Desean Jackson or even an Ocho Cinco who plays with a chip on their shoulder.

Shady is a middle of the pack RB who fits into the offense. That being said I wish they would have spent one of their million picks on a developmental RB. There are late round gems found all the time, but they're usually the bigger raw guys like a Ryan Grant (yes I know he went undrafted)

Watching the game on DVR now as i farging work, had a FF draft last night, you care.  Kolb isnt getting any protection like you all said, but Djack is shredding the Bengals and making it look effortless.  Kolb hitting WR's in stride is very nice

Man i was wrong about Graham, i didnt think he'd be able to play at this level at his size, but he's pretty damn Impressive.  Nate Allen needs to learn how to go low on tackles, so he doesnt get trucked.  Keenan Clayton might be a player too, he's surprised the hell out of me in both preseason games.

Its not cold out yet, so Rocca is booming the shtein outta the ball, but i hope it continues this year.  He did improve once they stopped telling him last year to hold back.

These are two good points that have gone overlooked (for the most part) in this thread. For a rookie Graham is damn good, I like him better in stunts and whatnot than I do off the edge,  he tries to beat the RT with speed moves too often, but overall you can tell he's gonna be a player. Already got his butta joint off borntrade. Clayton was going against backups but he was always in the middle of things and made some nice plays.

Allen did exactly what the scouts said he would be last night:  he got blowed up in run support, and covered the bomb picture perfect.

I'm sure he and Bradley are indeed "good friends."

Allen's coverage skills are impressive, he definitely has that part of the game in him.  The physical stuff he can make up for by learning how to take bigger guys down.   When Graham made the tackle on the sing run by Jones to the RT, and Graham popped the shtein out of him, impressive.  Graham had maybe 2 yards of steam and hit Jones so hard it was loud as shtein on the tv.  He's got raw power, and that drive.  Trevor Laws had a sack, probably the last of his career

Bradley looks good out there, and i have yet to see Ernie Sims do anything.

No mention of the ridiculous amount of blitzes they were throwing at the Eagles offense though. I loved it when Goose pointed out they were getting to Kolb with a 'standard' 5 man rush, what's funny is that's only standard when the rest of the time they're getting to him with 6 or 7 guys. Whether you're in a 3-4 or 4-3 anything more than 4 guys rushing the QB is considered a blitz.

And it's preseason football, not practice against your own team mates. Players have been chomping at the bit to unload on someone.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I didn't notice Ernie Sims making any big hits.  Maybe he should have saved his game intensity for a game.

Dear Andy,

Please teach your Offensive linemen how to line up on the motherfargin' LOS. That shtein was infuriating. Once you get them lined up correctly... please encourage them to get in the way of the oncoming defenders. Thanks.
