Until he proves he can run inside and is a lot more consistent, I won't be convinced. Eldra Buckley is the hardest runner on the team right now.

Oh, and did anyone touch on the red-zone shtein storm?

When does the first team O plan on scoring?

i dont worry about units or situations in preseason...i only look at individual players...if the defense sucks or the offense sucks who cares because you arent seeing everything as players and coaches both dont give a farg and thus dont give near their all in the preseason

what i look at is rookies that are expected to contribute...allen and graham

questionsmarks...andrews and jordan (at sam)

or first timers....cobb
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

I know all the spiels about "vanilla" and whatnot, but I look for cohesion too. I look for how a unit is vibin' and I don't see that with them right now.

Questions:
Interior OL
Running Game, namely McCoy
Red Zone O
SAM LB
Nickel CB (Patterson should win the job)

So, the Leon Phelps thing didn't resonate?

is it more or does shady seem kind of....slow

like hes already had 4 knee surgeries and his legs are hanging on a correll buckhalter thread of survival
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

My two cents: For preseason, the D looked solid. Offense was not bad but the guard position was god awful. Stacey is bad at football! Demps may be the dumbest football player I have ever seen. Vick is still awful. Nate getting run over by Fedric was kinda funny.

I keep hearing Chad Halls name but have yet to see him make a half decent play.

I think jay said last week he wasn't sold on shady..agreed.

Yep. And I've gone from not sold to straight up worried.

The OL is atrocious.

i wouldnt be worried about him...he fits the offense nicely...i think he can go for 1000 yards and 50 catches a season for the next five years...he just isnt ever going to be a game changer...like i said hes just another guy...the good thing will be that you wont care if he gets injuured because he will be easy to replace unlike 36

The Eagles have had, what, twenty years of pretty good to great RBs? One that's just okay is a little unusual. Even when they're not using them right, all we've seen for most of forever has been good backs.

The man. The myth. The legend.

QB Eagles

Shady was basically the starter last year. Not really expecting him to be any better or worse.

Who cares if they score? The preseason isn't about "putting points on the board" it's for making sure the players are going where they're supposed to go, making the right reads and reactions (the o-line's sucking at this so far) and being in the places they're supposed to be. Sure it'd be great to see them light it up, but that's not what matters.

Watching the preseason like they're regular season games is a lesson in futility. It's not even about being vanilla or not, you don't know what the coaches are looking at, looking for, or trying to assess. Scoring points doesn't matter anymore then winning or losing the game does, assessing the players' reactions against another team/ in a non-practice situation is the key.

That said I'm mightily impressed with Cooper, the ball seems to stick to his hands when it comes to him and watching Allen get trucked had me laughing out loud. I don't think he'll wait to take a hit like that again. Hopefully he learned his lesson and next time he's in a one-on-one like that he'll initiate the contact and attack the ball carrier to at least limit the impact on himself. He had good form, though, when he broke down.... right before getting planted into the turf. :D

I didn't make it past 1/2 thru the 3rd quarter.

But I notice that Akers hit a 48 yarder...that's nice to see.

Preseason football is brutal, to watch that is.  Listening to it is almost as bad.  After the first quarter it gets so boring the announcers start talking about what they had for lunch.  The love for Moose and Emmitt Smith was so touching i almost cried.

Agreed Shady looks slow.  Almost as though he's just  going 3/4 speed.

The chip shot field goal pissed me off more than anything else about that lousy performance last night.

I mean, why bother?  Is there a critical need to practice extra-point distances in the kicking game or might a circumstance happen during the regular season where you're going to have to go for it on fourth down near the goal line?

farging Reid is a fat douchebag.
