there will be 4 weeks of regular season NFL, plus an entire weekend of playoffs, before auburn and oregon play. ridiculous.

they arent as good as the regular season but they are fabulous in their own right and they are what make the cfb regular season by far the best in all of sports

except the FIFA championships of course
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

35 days until Auburn/Oregon.  Will anyone care?  I guess once I hear the ESPN "it's the most wonderful time of the year" campaign the blood will get flowing.

College Football = Yawn.

I've followed USC all my life....but now...I don't really care about college football. It does not induce a sports erection for me anymore.

That said, I would like to see a playoff of the top 4 teams to battle it out....and get rid of the rest of the 31 bowls.

yea, nothing says fabulous quite like the pizza bowl between toledo and fiu in a 1/4th filled ford field

yeah mentioning the single worst game out of 35 bowls definitely shows that they all suck

the ncaa tournament blows dood...i mean who wants to watch a neutral site play in game btwn alcorn state and jacksonville

even the rose bowl sucks. every bowl game sucks except for the national title.

they mean nothing and are absolutely forgettable aside from once in a blue moon games like boise st/oklahoma.

you cant possibly like cfb and not like the rose bowl

you are confusing hating the bcs with hating cfb...lots of people fall into the former group

i don't know i'm with the kid.

i love college football and will watch the bowl games, but they essentially mean no more than any regular season game.  you could still keep all the meaningless bowl games and fit a playoff into the next 4 weeks.

hate: everything that comes after it

also its impossible to love something where a god awful uconn team plays in a big time bowl simply based on conference affiliation. the whole system is rigged and a joke and you know it.

an 8 team playoff based on committee vote takes very little away from the regular season. all it means is that some top level teams can generally lose 1 game and still play for a title. im willing to give that up for a playoff.

you are in the i like cfb but i hate the bcs club

you will watch the bowl games and you certainly dont hate the rose bowl


theres also a difference btwn the bowl games meaning nothing...to the bowl games meaning nothing to you....they mean a lot to the teams in them...winning a bowl is a big deal for almost every program

lol i love you telling people who and what they are, this is great.

but i could seriously care less what they mean to the players and the programs. the only team i care about is a disaster and winning or not winning the eagle bank bowl at the end of the day means less than munsons life.

how about this saturday:
auburn vs. boise st
oregon vs. ohio st
tcu vs. oklahoma
wisconsin vs. stanford
