lol

obviously its a horrendous year if they dont win it all, but the window isnt closed even if werth leaves. 11 and maybe 12 they can compete. after that they become the mets.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

btw the first two games (Cole/Jurrjens and Doc/Minor) are on MLBN for you southerners

ill give you that ibanez and jimmy already are, and that this very well might be the last decent stretch of lidge before he dies

At this point, I could care less where he goes next year.

Win me another WS and I'll pay your ticket.

Win another WS and I'll arrange free reign for him at the baddest beach front crib in the islands.

I agree with this. IGY, I'm not saying after this year all is lost. I'm just saying, "Don't break the bank on Werth".

QuoteIn a pre-emptive strike to counter the impending DOOM which is about to be cast upon the Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park this week, Atlanta Braves President John Schuerholz decided to take the Brian McCann route and trash our small dimensioned ballpark.

Yawn: (via Bob Brookover, Inqy)

"When they built that damn ballpark, we didn't have a prayer. They started printing money and hitting shorter home runs."

Last I checked, when the Phillies play another team at Citizens Bank Park, it's the same distance to a home run for both squads. As a matter of fact, if Dave Montgomery was as big of a bitch as John Schuerholz, he could argue that the Braves building their team to suit the rather large dimensions of Turner Field is just as big of an advantage (even moreso?) as the Phillies have.

Do you have any idea which team has the largest discrepancy in their home/road record?

THE ATLANTA BRAVES THAT'S WHO. And it sure as hell isn't because of their fans showing up.

Settle down, Schuerholz. Lose the division like a man.

I hope the Phillies knock their sorry asses out of the wild card and onto the golf course.

don't the splits on HR's kinda dispute this faggy claim anymore ?

maybe if the braves built their place based on little league dimensions they'd be better and sellout at the same time.

Five 1-0 games at CBP this year.  Shut the @(#* up about the stadium...

oh and here's more whining, this time from Larry Wayne...

QuoteIf Medlen and I were healthy and we didn't make it, that would be extremely disappointing, but it's hard to overcome losing your No. 3 hitter and third baseman and one of your pitchers in the rotation, replace them with people in your organization and not have a little bit of a dip, not let it affect you.

Either way, it obviously would be disappointing. We're a good enough team to represent our division and the National League in the playoffs, but you have that check in the back of your mind that says, "What would happen if I didn't go down? If Medlen didn't go down?"

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH we lost me and Kris Medlen.  And Prado and Glaus for a week or two.  No team could handle such adversity!

QuoteCharlie Manuel on Braves' President John Schuerholz comments on CBP: "I tell our guys, 'champions can play anywhere.'"

boom. roasted.

LBIggle

lol wow.  i hope they get pounded into the farging dirt.  whiners.  everything they cry about actually makes them look worst.  its actually pretty funny.  their "unbeatable" at home and atrocious on the road, but yeah it must be the phils stadium that makes them so good.  nevermind that the phils usually have one of the if not the best road records in the league.  and of course the phils had no injuries this year.  weren't the mets just whining about the injury thing at the beginning of the year too?  shut the farg up.  nobody cares.  really.  nobody cares.  look at the attendance.

smeags

thats what happens when women run teams.
