If only the Phils had a starting pitcher was was 1st in the NL in wins, strikeouts, complete games, and innings pitched while being 3rd in WHIP and 5th in era, all the while having the best team record in the NL.... they might have a fighting chance.

exactly....to many phillie fans are just happy with a playoff spot...to win a world series this team has to be hitting on all cylinders and halladay is not right now

Geez, you've become unbarable in here.  No one is "pre-bitching." What I see is people complaining about Doc's last 3 or 4 starts....which have not been very good, especially by his standards.  Is he entitled to a bad game?  Yeah.  Is he entitled to 4 in a row?  Not really.  No one is.  And as it stands right now, the Phils are in a playoff race right now.  A 1 game lead in the division and a 2.5 game lead in the WC race is not a very secure spot to be in right now.  This team can't afford to lose games that he starts from here on out and with the offense being as in consistant (read: mostly awful with a few nice games) over the last month, Doc can't even afford to go out and give up 3 or 4 runs each start because there's no guarantee that he's going to get the run support to cover it.
