everyone knew that dummy....point is tonight accentuates the fact that good pitchers get you where you need to go...ie the 8th or 9th innings where you can finish or hand the ball off with the lead....and others dont

Cole Hamels can't pitch in close or tight games? He pitched in two 1-0 games in his last 3 starts and won a game 1-0 at St Louis to avoid a 4 game sweep.

as long as he keeps pitching the way he is he is going to generally win a lot of games

it just so happens this year he isnt getting a lot of run support. sometimes thats the way it goes.
