his track record, as a setup guy, is fairly good

Madson sucks when he pitches in the 9th.  He's much better in the set up role.  Romero on the other hand, hasn't done ish since coming back from his suspension last year.  What a coincidence.

romero has been pretty good this year until his last 3 appearances. hes going through something real bad...slump, mental breakdown, mechanics disaster, whatever.

he had a 2.66 era in late july. now its over 4. hopefully he can get his shtein in order.

lidge had his single best performance since 2008....and madson was ridiculous with his combination of location and stuff...especially his location which was uncanny

that was some nice pitching from the phillies last night. start to finish. well now you have to hope sweeney pick it up till the big guy gets back cause that gload injury did not look good and he was in a good hitting zone and playing nice defense at 1st.

I assume this means Domonic Brown doesn't get sent back down?

Brown is fun to watch, but he definitely needs some fine tuning in the minors. He gets behind in counts too frequently and swings at junk.

yep, that's the other side of keeping him up. kid does need some work and he won't get it watching from the bench.

Romero sucks.  Even before the last 3 outings.  Whenever you have a BB:K ratio that is as terribly distorted as his is, it is only a matter of time before you fall off significantly.

Any interest in Eyre?
