They had the same record at this point last year. All is well, remain calm and positive!!

MDS

yea but the braves and mets are better

and cody ransom wasnt in the lineup
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

Shut the farg up and stop killing my positivity!

MDS

they have hit around one of paul maholm, ross ohlendorf and daniel mccutchen

big ups

This is from one of the posters on the Phils MB:

QuoteKen Rosenthal on WIP
He was on WIP a little while ago.

-Said he used the words "obsessed with Cliff Lee" in his article for a reason. They wanted him last year, want him this year, and they just love Cliff Lee.

-The Phillies aren't afraid to give up more for Cliff Lee than they got for him last year from Seattle. They aren't afraid to look stupid in the fan's eyes or public eyes for going after him.

-Said since they won't trade Domonic Brown, maybe they should bring up Brown, trade Werth for prospects and use those prospects(combined with some of our own prospects) to get another righty power bat to replace Werth and also get Lee.

-Thinks the Phillies need a bat more than anything right now and thinks Lopez from Seattle and Tejada are most likely choices.

-He thinks they will have added a bat within a week to 10 days if not even sooner.

-Agrees with most people that if the Phillies big bats don't produce then it won't matter who they trade for.

Munson

It really would be so farging stupid to trade Lee away for zesty prospects and give up a Doc/Lee/Hamels 1-2-3 rotation for the entire season, only to later trade for Lee and have it for half the season.

But I still want it to happen.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Munson

lol wow even Jimmy can't save them

Don Ho

So we aren't the only ones obsessed with Cliff Lee.

fargin eh this team blows serious ass right now.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

farging sorry ass motherfargers. Choking dogs.

SD

I have this long hair that hangs from my eyebrow, I'm too lazy to clip it so I keep trying unsuccessfully to pull it out. That's like watching the Phillies right now.

absolutely pathetic

Rosenthal is pretty plugged in. He called the Halladay acquisition and trading of Lee days before it happened when no one else was even on the scent of the idea.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

MDS

to think they would make a big stink about lee, claiming to need money and prospects, then go out and give up more to get him back for a half a season

then they are also gonna trade werth, start brown, and keep ibanez?

heres a thought: you also need significant bullpen help cause el abuelo de raft put his 2 months in before blowing up and lidge is beyond being damaged goods. and we all know madson isnt a closer.

in fact id consider being a seller at the deadline. trade werth and moyer, hope to unload lidge and restock for 2011.

lol

The Lee thing would be awesomely ridiculous. And how farged up would it be if the Mets get him? Amaro would be done.

Rosenthal dropped Mike Lowell's name today on Twitter. I could see that happening. Him or Miguel Tejada. Or Mike Schmidt at 60. All better options than Dobbsy.

The BIGSTUD

The Phillies are never going to be sellers though. It doesn't matter how many games back they'll be, they will be buyers.
