I think people understand, but it just hasn't hit them.

Until they fix a few problems, its going to keep happening.

However...the fact that they are starting to hit is good. Get Jimmy back in there and I think the line up will keep it up. The offensive slump they were in was a perfect storm. And when you've got Wilson Valdez and Juan Castro in there at the same time, its a huge problem.

Problems: Greg Dobbs (1-25 as a PH and sucks defensively; what is the benefit of keeping him?) and the bench.

Bullpen...they have to get another LH and they need some reliability from the 6-7th inning guys.

lol j and uncle mike are the only 2 that dont see this as an epic collapse

ok

blame whoever you want it was the worst loss of the season
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Of course it was an epic collapse/melt down, but I think people here are more relieved to see the offense come back to life. We're all used to seeing the pitching crumble and melt down from time to time (granted, this was a pretty farging terrible melt down), but no one here has seen this group of current players go through such a terrible and long slump at the plate. We're used to them winning 3 or 4 or 5 games in a row before the pitching blows one.

At least for me, I can deal with losses like this here or there as long as the offense is alive and keeps them winning more games than losing.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

It is a collapse. A collapse from a legit WS team to a team middling around in 3rd place.

Today was a meltdown.

And I hold Amaro responsible, the prick.

tell em jay...today was a debacle

I wonder how much consulting Pat Gillick is doing?

And if he is, is Amaro even listening to him?

Ownership is happy because the park is bursting at the seams. Well, the one guy who told Choke to "get me my farging trophy back" may be pissed, but the rest of 'em probably haven't even looked at the standings yet.

MDS

what do you want to do

you are venting on an internet message board

would you like to buy the phillies and fire amaro and install a charming albeit slightly overweight govt worker as the gm?

Who you hiring for your pitching and hitting coaches, Skipper?

Munson

If anyone knows how to throw strikes, it's Roy Munson.

Rome

It's one game you ridiculous bleeding c*nts.

Settle down.

PhillyPhreak54

That seems to be the mantra after every loss, no?

Say it 80 times and we'll see ya in September - because thats where this team, right now, is headed.

It's also the same after every win.

There's plenty of time left in the season and this team is going to turn it on.  They were in the midst of a turnaround yesterday yet you bitches act like one loss is GOING TO BE THE OMGDOWNFALLWORSTEVAR!

It's comical and I enjoy it but I can't help but mock it.  It's just too easy.
