QuoteThanks to Phils fan Becca Fenstermaker for passing this along.  It looks like the Phillies inter-league series, scheduled for June 25th-27th in Toronto, may be moving to Philadelphia (giving the Phillies 3 extra home games, for now).  The G20 Summit of world leaders (yeah, like that's more important than a baseball game) will be held in Toronto on June 26th and 27th, and it appears as if Toronto (and likely secret service) would like the city cleared of all major crowd gathering events.

Becca had the following exchange with a Phillies representative, who said she was 99% sure the series would be moved to Citizen's Bank Park.

Stay tuned for more info!

Cannot wait to see the powder blues.  :yay

Still one of my favorite Philadelphia sports team uniforms ever.

Obviously, the Phils uniform of the 70's and 80's (home and away) holds a special place in my heart since that's the uniform I grew up with, but I really like the current throwback style as well.  And I farging LOVE the cream alt jersey.  Not a huge fan of the blue hat with red bill though.

ice grillin you

they wore the powder blues twice in the last bunch of years...i know i saw them in baltimore for a series in them in 2004 maybe?

and they had them against atlanta as well around that same time

Sidenote, their old dugout announcer was a creepy farger

for my man easy....

Lou Marson | C | Cleveland: You have to feel a little sorry for Marson. Not only is he adjusting to a new team and a new league as a rookie, but he also has top prospect Carlos Santana breathing down his neck. Marson is currently hitting .203/.261/.266 with a wOBA of .249, so he's not exactly doing his part to keep the full-time catching gig in Cleveland. The right-handed hitter is batting just .163 against right-handed pitchers. His strikeout rate of 26.6% is far too high for someone with an ISO of just .063.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Don Ho

Tommy Chong does a commercial here for a local "paraphernalia" store, "Hawaii Natural High".  Perfect spokesperson.

Kind of sucks for Toronto fans who were looking forward to watching Doc pitch.  But......it's good for the Phils, so who gives a shtein?

gonna miss Ubaldo in this next series and Gallardo in the weekend one with the 70s/80s powder blue throwbacks

and here's this year's holiday hat, following the navy and red ones from the last two years:

Awesome.

I'm buying two.

One because I know I will wear it and get it dirty and one to keep. I wish I could find the blue one. My mom bought me one as a gift...the wrong farging size. 7-5/8's is way too big.

LBIggle

i think kendrick stars and makes most of the scenes tonight in "how to survive a raping."

Phreak needs help.  I believe that you could literally slap a P on a turd and Phreak would buy one.  Well, 2 actually....in case one gets dirty.
