Looks like the team has taken on the "wake me up when it is August" mentality of the fans. We know the Phils will be one of the elite teams toward the end of the year, but that doesn't mean you just go through the motions early in the season either.

Time to start playing.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

they also have to realize the mets and nationals are much better...your division doesnt have two teams with less than 70 wins in it this year
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

I think this team at times is too confident. They feel they can beat anybody, so they show up at the park sometimes looking like they are playing a minor league club. Everyone who's ever been in the clubhouse says you can't tell the difference between a 12-0 win or a 9-0 loss. That mentality has its advantages, but it's frustrating at times like this when they are slumping and you want something to kick them into gear.

they finished april 12-9, playing 3 weeks without what probably is the 2nd most important player

at the end of the day, you can live with that

on to may
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Great game.

I'm glad I missed it.

I'd rather stay here at work sweating my balls off counting lumber. Yay inventory!

lee is pitching great tonight in his first start of the year

ruben amaro rules!

Know what the worst part of them losing is? Coming in here and reading igy's daily doom and gloom. Hopefully he'll remind us of how unforgetful the 2008 club was by telling us they have no chance to repeat in 2009 again. As if back to back to back National League Champions has happened so often.

i have done no such thing

im just a realist with this team and think theyre awesome. or were awesome. and it was all set up by patty gillick so if anything im on his nut

the lee trade was indeed a disaster, i didnt call it anything but. it was a smug, short-sided move by amaro and it very well might cost them a title

no youve defended the move by saying:

they needed prospects
hamels will be fine
they made the world series last year without a #2
it has nothing to do with money
pitchers are injured

like i said to pg im not gonna go and search...your record speaks for itself

this is one of the all time 180's ever
