The life of Ryan: No hitter in baseball has been more susceptible to The Shift the past few years than Ryan Howard. But Howard has driven so many balls to the left side since the spring -- including an RBI single right through the vacant shortstop hole Monday -- that one scout tells Rumblings that Howard might not have to worry about that shift much longer.

if choke keeps hitting away from the shift, especially with risp, then it won't be much longer until teams start playing him straight up.

phils have been absolutely working the hell out of starting pitching in the first inning so far this year.  sanchez threw like 32 or 33 pitches that inning.  farging awesome.

How's your feed on mlb.com been?  I've had a freeze ups so far today but nothing major.  Still irritating as hell though.

i've been getting the freeze every time i've watched a game so far this year.  today's not too bad, but not great either.  it's not freezing a lot but when it does, it freezes for about 7-10 seconds.  annoying. 

are you wireless?  i'm wondering if it wouldn't be better if i plugged direct into my router.

yep, wireless.  I seem to get a better feed when I use my wife's MacBook.  My other laptop is company issued and and it's terrible for watching games.  I had a dell desktop the past two years and it was amazing.  Picture was off the charts and I rarely had issues.  Unfortunately we didn't renew our McAfee Anti Virus last year and about a week later we got a nasty bug.  It's happened twice before and it fricken costs about $150 to have Dell Customer Support clean it up.  I need to get off my lazy ass and buy a new one.

that inning was almost pure garbage as far as watching it goes.....it was frozen for almost the entire inning.  at least when the picture freezes, i still get the audio so i heard it.  but this is getting beyond ridiculous.  i feel a strongly worded email coming on.

man, it just started pouring out there.  figures.....doc's home debut, phils get off to a fast start against a pitcher that owned them last year and they'll probably go into a rain delay.
