lol typical cole meltdown inning giving up 2 rbis to the pitcher.  he had one good year.  jury is still out this year obviously but he's looks like the same bitch from last year getting hit up by the nationals 2 games in a row.

everyone seems to look at hamels' 08 post season and assume that he was pitching like that the entire year.  he wasn't.  he was 14-10 and gave up 28 hr in 33 starts.  he had a good year overall, but he was only slightly less inconsistant as he is now.  he was never all that great to begin with, but then he had a monster post season and all of a sudden, everyone expected him to pitch like that every 5 days.  it just isn't going to happen.

to be fair he usually gives up a lot of solo hrs.

when he gets beat up on rallys its moments like today where he bitches his way through the bottom of the order than lets the pitcher flair one to left. just stuff that a real pitcher would get out of but a total mental queef like hamels cant.

again its so early and silly to write him off but if he cant dominate the nationals then what the farg are we gonna get when he faces good teams.

exactly...he was a great pitcher for one month of his career...other than that hes been good with some great starts mixed in...which is why it was so risky going into the season with him as your two

Another line drive right to Willingham.  3 so far this game.  And yeah, Marquis was getting squeezed a little there.

werth is like one centimeter off this year so far...hes had a plethora of monster hacks at completely hittable pitches that hes fouled off...when he gets in sync i can see him ripping off like 6 homers in 8 games or some kind of like stretch
