this is where it really sucks that happ doesn't have an out pitch.  guys can just keep fouling him off and make him keep throwing.  this is like a 12 pitch ab.

yep.  something else i learned from the astros' broadcast team is that the phils played the first game against them in houston and won 2-0.  usually the phils are on the wrong end of those types of things.

Astros announcers just lapping up this phils lineup.

as they should, especially with the way these guys are swinging the bats to start the season.  we're bitching about the way they hit yesterday in dc, but they still had 12 hits and put 5 across the plate.  that will win you more games than not.  pitching did them in more than anything else yesterday.

I missed yesterday's game as it was on at 10:30 AM HST.  I saw the boxscore and all the chances they had to score.  shtein load of men left on?  And was the hit that scored the go ahead run a dog shtein one?

Didn't see an answer:  Yes, lots of men left on base.  Still scored five runs, though.  Kendrick was not good, but the winning run was a texas leaguer just inside the foul line that Werth was about 2-3 steps away from catching.
