That was a hell of a lot closer than this play.  And the Cardinals could still shut the Royals down, but didn't.

I agree with Igy, this call was way worse, in that the damage was irreparable and was the last farging out of a perfect game.  Just not in nearly as big a game.

Whats crazy is even if that is a bang bang play, he's still has to ring up the runner. Anything close there you give the benefit of doubt to the guy tossing a perfecto.

But that wasn't even bang-bang. That was farging routine.

not only was the denkinger a true bang bang play and a much tougher call....but you also have to remember the denkinger call was with zero outs and no one on...it wasnt like it allowed a winning run to score...in other words it wasnt a game ender
